Virginia "Ginny" (Reynolds) Cunningham

Virginia “Ginny” Reynolds Cunningham, age 95, sadly passed away on April 7th 2023. Born in Pike Township, Warren Co. on April 20th, 1927, she graduated from West Lebanon High School in 1945. Here is where she met her first love, Talbot Cunningham Jr. They were married February 10th, 1946. They were together for 51 years before illness took Talbot to be with the lord in 1997. During their years together Talbot and Virginia made a beautiful family. She had three sons: David E. Cunningham (Lisa), Larry L. Cunningham (Linda), and Ronald J. Cunningham (Gail); she had 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She had two sisters, Kathryn Hunter (Jim) and Lois Kopf (John) and 3 brothers Jim (Freda) Reynolds, Glenn (Pat) Reynolds, and Larry (Patsy) Reynolds. She had numerous nieces and nephews all of whom she loved dearly. Virginia loved teaching children and devoted 20 yrs. to this service at Warren Central Elementary. She also loved to sing and direct in the West Lebanon Christian church choir, last being The Young Americans. Virginia also worked at MSD as a Teacher’s Aide, and eventually a volunteer aide throughout the 70’s. Her creativity did not stop at singing and painting, she also loved to express herself in writing. “First Book” was published in 1999 and contained short stories. She believed that a busy mind was a healthy mind, and never met a stranger. Virginia always had a smile on her face. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Grady Funeral Home, 111 E Monroe St, Williamsport, IN 47993, from 11:00 a.m. until funeral service time at noon with Minister Jesse Stoner officiating. Inurnment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Community Action Program of Western Indiana, memo MAC Van.
