Vickie Lynn (Longest) Clarkston, age 63 of Gibson City, IL, passed away at Gibson City Area Hospital at 6:52 p.m. CST on August 5, 2021. Vickie was born on March 8, 1958. She was the daughter of George Junior Longest and Kathleen Marie (Howard) Longest. Vickie lived in Hoopeston, IL for most of her life. She resided in Gibson City for the past 7 years. Vickie was a 1977 graduate of Rossville High School. She married William Clarkston on February 26, 1978 and he preceded her in death June 16, 2013. Vickie was in a relationship with Jason Milligan and he survives. Vickie enjoyed playing bingo and working at American Legion Post #384 in Hoopeston, IL. She enjoyed babysitting, hanging out with friends, and attending family functions. Surviving are, Companion, Jason Milligan; Daughter, Heather Williams of Donald, MO; Sons, William E. Clarkston Jr. (Leslie) of Newtown, IN and George Clarkston (Kelsey) of Attica, IN; Sisters, Sue Quillen of Rossville, IL, Janet Upperman of Rossville, IL, Frances Clarkston (husband: Roger) of Veedersburg, IN, Cora Lister of Williamsport, IN, Linda Coffey (husband: Linden) of Hoopeston, IL, Jenny Pitzer (companion: William Milligan) of Melvin, IL, and Lisa Irvin (husband: Darrell) of Hoopeston, IL; 6 grandchildren and 1 on the way; 2 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way Vickie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; sister, Lori Clarkston; and brother, George Jr. Longest Jr. Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport is handling arrangements. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Highland Cemetery.
