Timothy Foster Booth, of Pine Village, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 surrounded by those he loved and loved him. Tim was born June 30th, 1957 to Gene and Ruth Booth. He attended Rainsville Elementary, Pine Village Elementary and High School, eventually graduating from Seeger High School in 1975.
Tim was a son, husband, brother, father, grandpa, uncle, cousin, in-law, neighbor, and a friend. He was everything to those who were lucky enough to have him in their lives, even if he would downplay that fact. He was a man of few words, but you’d never want to miss what he had to say. He liked good music, cold beer, and a hot grill. He taught his sons to hunt and fish and to be at home in the woods, streams, and fields that he raised them in. He was never more at home than he was when outdoors. He laughed. His laugh and smile will echo in our memories and return in our own.
Tim farmed. From the time he was in high school he worked the ground and raised cattle in Warren County with his dad. When not farming, he spent time working the floor at Beutler Meats alongside family. He knew the value of hard work and was never shy to offer help to friends and neighbors. He probably worked too hard but slowed down enough to travel some. He enjoyed touring the ranches and walking the beaches of south Texas with his wife as his parents did in their later life.
Tim is survived by his wife Ann, who he loved for 48 years, and three sons, Collan (Caroline) Booth, Lee (Rebecca) Booth, and Connor (Katy) Booth. He also saw 5 grandchildren; Alice, Lanie, Sally, Hadley, and Carter, and knew of those yet to be born. He is also survived by his older brother Mike (Rhonda) Booth, his older sister Becci (Bob) Hamilton, his little sister Angela (Eric) Smith, and his mother-in-law, Alice Murphy. He was preceded by his parents, Gene and Ruth Booth, and his father-in-law, Verlin Murphy.
The family would like to thank the staff at IU Simon Center, specifically Dr. Loehrer, Franciscan Hospice, specifically Dana Rainwater, and close family friend Katie Foust. Their care enabled him to spend his final time at home surrounded by family and friends and to see so much more than he ever expected.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that you consider donating to the Indiana University Simon Center’s Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.
Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service time at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Joe Humrichous officiating. Interment will follow at Rainsville Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.gradyfuneralhome.com.
