Sherald Lee "Bud" Delp

Sherald Lee “Bud” Delp, age 78 of West Lebanon, IN passed away at 9:52 a.m. on March 30, 2019 at IU Health Arnett.   Bud was born on September 22, 1940 in Perrysville, IN to Chester Monroe Delp Sr. and Thelma Alverna (Scott) Delp. He graduated from Newport High School in 1959 and was a Warren County resident for most of his life. Bud married Mildred Marie Uplinger on November 11, 1962 in Cayuga, IN and she survives.   After graduation, Bud worked at Harrison Steel Casting Company for over 30 years. Throughout his career, he also worked at McKenzie’s Apple Orchard, Tiny Tim’s Tin Shop, and Dyna-Fab.     Bud was a member of the Second Church of Christ in Danville and enjoyed spending time with the Lord. He was an avid scrapper and enjoyed fishing and mushroom and ginsing hunting. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Bud had a great love for his grandchildren and a passion for taking care of his wife.   Surviving with his wife, Mildred, are, Children, Lisa R. Beighley (Alvin) of Veedersburg, IN, Cheryl L. Campbell (Dean) of West Lebanon, IN, and Rock A. Delp (Karen) of Rossville, IL; Grandchildren, Michael Garrison (Lakisha), Jami Hannon (Dusty), Rock A. Delp II, Nick Delp, Nathan Garrison (Megan), Matthew Garrison (Jamie), Andrew Delp, Michaela Lane (Ryan), Christian Beighley, Zac Campbell, Austin Campbell, Jolyn (Brandon) Clapp, Justin Silver, Julia Silver, and Jack Silver; Great-grandchildren, Bailey Hannon, Alexis Hannon, Ryder Hannon, Tucker Hannon, Gabriel Vredenburgh, Noah Ellis, Joshua Garrison, Rock A. Delp III, Azaan Delp, Riley Delp, Paisely Delp, Blaze Garrison, Trinity Garrison, Zander Garrison, David Riggs, Skylar Riggs, Kaiden Garrison, Lux Garrison, Aleah Smith, and Carter Smith; Siblings, Helen, Bill, Gladys, Nina, Tommy, Jarvis, Lonnie, Mary, and their families   Bud was preceded in death by his parents; infant son; grandson, Joshua Ryan Ellis; granddaughters, Elisa Ranee Ellis and Tisha Marie Garrison; and siblings, Chester “Junior”, Mary, Howard, and Margaret.   Visitation will be Friday, April 5, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport. Funeral services will be there in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Drew Mentzer officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mildred Delp for her to distribute to organizations of her choice.
