Sheila (Simonton) Sharp

Sheila Sue (Simonton) Sharp, age 59 of Speedway, IN, formerly of West Lebanon, IN passed away at IU Health West on July 12, 2025.

Sheila was born on October 8, 1965 in Danville, IL. She was the daughter of Walter Dale and Donna Mae (White) Simonton. Sheila was a 1986 graduate of Seeger High School. She married Richard Sharp on June 29, 2002 and he preceded her in death. Sheila had resided in the Indianapolis area since 1988. 

Sheila previously worked at Goodwill. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and doing needle point. She attended Mercy and Truth Apostolic Church in Indianapolis. Sheila took every opportunity to help someone in need. She was spiritually faith based and enjoyed spreading the Word of God. Sheila was fluent in sign language and enjoyed teaching it to others.

3 siblings, Debbie Merrill of Goldsboro, NC, Penny Simonton of Killeen, TX, and Walter “Scott” (Jennifer) Simonton of Williamsport, IN;

Several nieces & nephews

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; brother-in-law Ron Merrill; and nephew Jordan Baer.

Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until funeral service time at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
