Sharon Lee (Murray) Stover

Sharon Lee (Murray) Stover age 76 of Williamsport, went to be with the Lord at 9:25 a.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Sharon was born on July 25, 1942 in Williamsport, IN. She is the daughter of William Cyril Murray & Jewell (Sells) Murray Vaughn. A resident of Williamsport, her entire life, she graduated from Williamsport High School on May 17^th, 1960. Sharon was a public servant of Warren County, IN, serving 11 years as Treasurer and Recorder in the Warren County Courthouse in Williamsport. Prior to that she worked at Citizens State Bank in Williamsport, Williamsport-Washington Township Public Library, and Williamsport Elementary School. Sharon married Christopher Storme Stover on May 5, 1961, in Laporte, IN. He preceded her in death on December 29, 2002.

Sharon was a lifelong member of Williamsport Christian Church. She was proud to be a part of the Williamsport community where she was treasurer for many organizations including the Democrat Committee. She loved to bird watch, collect cardinal items, and was an avid reader. Sharon was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Domino Club. She enjoyed spending time and playing games with her beloved family and friends and especially enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

Surviving are: 3 sons, Robert Stover (wife: Colleen) of Waynetown, IN, Kenneth Stover (wife: Amy) of Tipton, MO, Andy Stover (wife: Andrea) of Williamsport, IN; 2 sisters, Myrna Synesael (husband: Randy), and Brenda Butler, both of Williamsport, IN, 1 brother, Bill Vaughn (wife: Joy) of Brownsburg, IN; 8 grandchildren, Dylan Stover, Madison Stover, Zane Stover (wife: Jordan), Kenton Stover, Amanda Stover, Storme Stover, Jordan Stover (wife: Laurel) and Calan Stover; and 1 great-grandson, Aydin Stover.  Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, step father Edward R. Vaughn, infant son, husband, and grandson Chad Stover.

Visitation will be at the Williamsport Christian Church on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Minister Jesse Stoner officiating. Inurnment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport, IN. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsport Christian Church. .
