Sharon A. (Brooks) Long

Sharon A. (Brooks) Long, age 67 of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 10:47 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Sharon was born on July 25, 1953 in Williamsport, IN and was a lifelong resident of Warren County. She was the daughter of Roland “Biddy” Brooks and Mary (Koekenberg) Brooks. Sharon attended Williamsport High School. She married Steve Long on April 14, 1974 and he survives. Sharon worked at Woodland Manor Nursing Home as a dietary aide. She loved her fur babies, including her cat Otis and golden doodles Daisy, Murphy, Briggs, and Duffy. Sharon enjoyed watching The Waltons, Andy Griffith Show, and Little House on the Prairie. She also enjoyed watching day-time soap operas. Surviving with her husband, Steve Long, are, 1 daughter, Tara Long of Williamsport, IN; 1 son, Travis (Cherilee) Long of Fishers, IN; 1 granddaughter, Camryn Long of Williamsport, IN; 5 sisters, Alice Howard of Williamsport, IN, Shirley Zenor of Williamsport, IN, Helen (Tim) Wagner of Peru, IN, Delores (Jerry) Chambers of Indianapolis, IN, and Kay Painter of Kemp, TX Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sandy Booe; and brothers, Jake Brooks, Beak Brooks, and infant Randy Brooks. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until memorial service time at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating.
