Sandra Jo "Sandy" (Kincade) Strickler, 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis on August 25, 2025. She was born to Bill and Joan (Phelps) Kincade on January 20, 1964, in Lafayette, IN.
Sandy drove a school bus and was a gym teacher’s aid at Seeger High School. She then managed the Garrett Shell Station in Williamsport. Sandy was also the first female firefighter on the Williamsport Volunteer Fire Department and umpired many girls’ softball games.
Sandy loved anything to do with horses. She also liked Cub’s baseball, IU basketball, NASCAR and basically all sports. Her favorite pastime was spending quality time with family especially her grandchildren.
Sandy is survived by her daughter Melissa (Chris) Rogiers; grandchildren, Emma, Abigail, Hailey and Jackson, all of Lafayette; sister Sheryl (Jerry) Shoaf, of Williamsport; brother Jeff (Mary) Kincade, of Robroy; sister-in-law Cheryl Kincade, of Williamsport; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brother David Kincade.
There will be a celebration of life for family and friends at the Williamsport Fire Station on September 13, 2025, from 2 to 5 pm.
