Roger "Rod" A. Clarkston

Roger A. “Rod” Clarkston, age 63 of Veedersburg, IN, passed away at 1:55 a.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Lafayette.

Roger was born on March 20, 1959 in Danville, IL. He was the son of William and Edna June (Burke) Clarkston. Roger was raised in Kingman and Cates and had resided in Veedersburg for the past 15 years. He was a 1978 graduate of Covington High School. Roger married Frances Longest on July 24, 1992 in Fountain County and she survives.

Roger worked as a mechanic for INDOT for 34 years and was most recently employed at Flex N Gate in Covington.

Roger attended Stone Bluff Nazarene Church as a child. He liked to camp, fish, and hunt. Roger enjoyed all types of outdoor activities.

Surviving with his wife, Frances, are,

2 sisters, Patricia (Clarkston) Tibbett of Covington, IN and Betty (Clarkston) Rahm (husband: Ricky) of Stringtown, IN;

1 brother, James Clarkston (wife: Lameta) of Brazil, IN;

Several nieces and nephews

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mattie Fouty; and brother, William Clarkston.

Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Monday, October 3, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until service time at 7:00 p.m. with Minister Carolyn Wheatfill officiating. Inurnment will be at Highland Cemetery at a later date.
