Paul Peer

Paul Eugene Peer, 61, of Pine Village, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his family on October 16, 2025 in his home after a 17 month battle of glioblastoma cancer.

Paul was born on July 15, 1964 in Danville, IL to Paul and Carolyn Peer of West Lebanon, IN.

Paul married the love of his life, Rebecca on July 14, 2002 by his mother-in-law. They enjoyed traveling, fishing and spending time with their families. Paul enjoyed the outdoors where he liked to hunt, cut wood and mushroom hunt. Paul and Becky made a lot of memories together in the 23 years they were married.

Paul graduated from Seeger in 1984 and then joined the Army in November 1984. He was stationed in Kansas, Hawaii, Colorado, Germany and Oklahoma. He made some lifelong U.S. Army friends in all these places. He was in Bosnia and Iraq and protected his soldiers during these wars. He served 20 years and retired in 2004. He enjoyed working at Pine Village Service Center the last 8 years.

He leaves behind his wife, his children Kimberly Weathers, Paul Bradley Peer, and Brittany Bates all from Lawton, Katie and Markus May and Justin Peer. Grandchildren: Cassandra, Skylar, Ember Weathers, Rylee and Bradley Peer and Avery Bates. Sisters: Cathy (Jeff) Jones from Pine Village and Connie Strickler from Williamsport. Very special Uncle Mike Henry from Newport, Indiana.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter (Cassie Peer).
