Nancy Elaine (Kelsay) Clark

October 6, 1956 — September 20, 2018

Nancy Elaine (Kelsay) Clark, age 61, gently passed on September 20, 2018, near her farm in West Lebanon, IN.  Born in Marion, IN on October 6, 1956, she was the daughter of Robert W. and Ruth Ellen Kelsay (both deceased), of Fairmount, IN, where she happily spent her childhood.  She was a 1975 graduate of Madison-Grant High School and a 1979 graduate of Purdue University receiving both a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication.  Nancy married Scott A. Clark in 1982 which led to her 36-year residency in Warren County.  Scott preceded Nancy in death in 2010.   Although Nancy had a fulfilling early career in marketing and advertising with Pioneer Hybrids and IDC, raising her two sons, Aaron R. Clark and Alan R. Clark, was, by far, her proudest accomplishment.   As caretaker and steward of Cloverleaf Farms, Nancy was a skillful manager, marketer and visionary.  She and Scott shared both the talent and courage it takes to be innovators and early adopters of new agricultural technology.  She was a founding director of the Warren County Community Foundation, the treasurer of Trinity Presbyterian Church of West Lebanon, a 40-year 4-H leader and a true servant leader in every way. Nancy is survived by her sons Aaron (Jennifer) and Alan, her father-in-law, Richard Clark, her aunts Alberta (Raymond) Herron and Janet Kelsay, her uncle Joe Kelsay, siblings Rodney (Jeanne) Kelsay, Morris (Linda) Kelsay, Michael (Anna) Clark, Kelly (Michelle) Clark and Rick (Carol) Clark.  She was preceded in death by her sister Marlene (David) Beatty and her mother-in-law Marjorie C. Clark.  Nancy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and great-nephews, whose lives she ceaselessly enriched. Visitation will be Sunday, September 23, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Grady Funeral Home, 111 E. Monroe St., Williamsport, IN.  A memorial service to commemorate Nancy’s life will be held on Monday, September 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 301 S. Clinton St., West Lebanon, IN with Pastor Roger Andrew McDaniel officiating. A reception at the church will immediately follow the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Warren County Community Foundation Scott & Nancy Clark Memorial Fund or to Trinity Presbyterian Church. Online condolences may be made at www.gradyfuneralhome.com.
