Mark L. Burleson, age 62 of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 12:34 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at IU Health Arnett Lafayette. Mark was born on September 11, 1958 in Hamilton, AL. He was the son of Marshall F. and Barbara Ann (Manus) Burleson. Mark moved to Pence, IN at age 3 until moving to Williamsport in 2006 where he had resided since. He was a 1976 graduate of Seeger High School. Mark later attended online courses in computer programming and website design. He married Melody R. Moore in Hedrick, IN on May 6, 2006 and she survives. Mark had worked at Del-Storm in Danville, IL, C&D Technologies in Attica, IN, Caterpillar in Lafayette, IN, and Wabash National in Lafayette, IN. Mark enjoyed making memes and brain games on the computer. He loved dad jokes, word puzzles playing cards, watching Disney+. Mark was affectionately known as a geek. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. Surviving with his wife, Melody, are, 5 children, April Dawn Hudson of Denver, CO, Robert W. Watson (Karrissa) of Rankin, IL, Dean Watson (Chelsea) of Fishers, IL, Carl Watson (Maci) of Potomac, IL, and Nikkita Leann Burleson of Williamsport, IN 3 siblings, Kathleen Burleson of Louisville, KY, Robert L. Watson (Teresa) of Rantoul, IL, and Rhonda Powell (Jeff) of Rossville, IL; 5 grandchildren, Nolan Watson, Knox Watson, Rebecca Watson, Brinley Watson, and Alannah Watson; 5 nieces & nephews, Eddie Walls, Rachael Walls, Liz Unangst (Tyler), Jon Powell, and Trisha Stevenson; Extended family, Jack Kellogg and Tiffany George Mark was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Matthew D. Burleson. Visitation will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Dan Koenig officiating. Interment will follow at Jordan Cemetery.
