Lynn Eugene “Cork” Mock II, age 65, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Cork was born on July 9, 1958 in Altoona, PA. He was the son of Lynn Eugene and Laura Jane (DeMarino) Mock. He attended Altoona High School. Cork was raised in Altoona, PA before joining the Army. He lived in Houston, TX and later lived in Indiana and Pennsylvania after his honorable discharge from the Army. He returned back to Indiana and had been residing in Pine Village.
Cork proudly served his country in the United States Army in the 103rd Infantry. He later worked as an aircraft fueler at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, TX. While living in Indiana, he was a box truck driver for various companies.
Cork had a great sense of humor, he always had a way of making everyone he met feel special.
Surviving are:
3 children, Adam Mock, Denise Gutierrez (Valdez only daughter), and Daniel Mock;
4 siblings, LouAnne Grassmeyer, Mike Mock, Penny Herbert (Ron), and Doe Sunderland (Rusty);
4 grandchildren, Aralia Gutierrez, Marissa Mock, Daniel Mock Jr., Chase Mock;
Several nieces and nephews who he loved very much and was very active in their lives
Cork was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jeff Mock; and son, Tim Mock.
A celebration of life will be at the Pine Village Christian Church on Saturday, February 17, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until memorial service at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Stamn officiating. Inurnment will be at Blair Memorial Park in Altoona, PA at a later date.
