Lonnie Gene Phipps

Lonnie Gene Phipps, age 70 of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on September 6, 2020 at Williamsport Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Lonnie was born on October 11, 1949 in Terre Haute, IN. He was the son of William Edward and Nell Marie (Daley) Phipps. Lonnie had lived in Boston, MA and has resided in rural Williamsport, Warren County since 1964. He was a 1969 graduate of Seeger High School.

Lonnie served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany. He later served in the Indiana National Guard. Lonnie worked at GE in Danville,IL  and Hyster in Danville,IL. He also worked at Walmart in Crawfordsville, IN and later Danville, IL as a meat cutter, then meat packer.

Lonnie enjoyed playing Ratchet & Clank video games and mushroom hunting. He was proud to have absentee voted for Donald J. Trump for re-election before his death.

Surviving are,

Brothers, Dennis Phipps, Mark (Kim) Phipps, and Tim (Linda) Phipps, all of Warren County;

Many nieces and nephews

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Donnie Phipps, and a brother, Ronnie Phipps. 

Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon, 110 S High St, West Lebanon, IN 47991 on Thursday, September 10, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. EDT until service time at 5:00 p.m. EDT with Pastor John Jordan and brother Dennis Phipps officiating. Military honors will follow.
