Juanita Sue (Sexton) Ransom Mycroft Crawford

April 29, 1930 — June 9, 2021

Juanita Sue (Sexton) Ransom Mycroft Crawford, age 91 of Williamsport, IN passed away at 8:42 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at her residence.

 

Sue was born in West Lebanon, IN on April 29, 1930. She was the daughter of Chester F. and Madge Lorraine (Wilson) Sexton. Sue was a 1948 West Lebanon High School graduate. She lived in Warren County for most of her life, residing in Williamsport since 2000. Sue had also lived in Danville, IL for 5 years. She married Jack Ransom and they later divorced. Sue married Elroy “Bob” Mycroft in 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1997. She married Frank Crawford in 2000 and he preceded her in death in 2004.

 

Sue enjoyed working with her sister Judy as an administrator at the Warren County Home. She previously had worked as a Nurses Aide at the V.A. in Danville, IL and had taught Head Start classes in Kramer, IN.

 

Sue was a member of His Mission Church in Williamsport, IN. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Ladies and the Hand & Foot Card Club.

 

Surviving are,

1 son, J. Steven Ransom of Amsterdam, Netherlands;

1 daughter, Michelle Lary (David Ingram) of Covington, IN;

1 sister, Judy (Jack) Jackson of West Lebanon, IN;

1 grandson;

3 great-grandsons;

2 great-great granddaughters;

Several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends

 

Sue was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Kevin Scott Mycroft and Mark Ransom; son-in-law, Pete Lary; and 2 brothers, Chester Sexton and Lester Sexton.

 

The family would like to thank Guardian Angels Hospice, Cynthia Dazey, Diane Allen, and niece Kim Payne for their wonderful care.

 

Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, June 12, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Duane Mycroft and Cathy McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to His Mission Church.
