Gary Allen

Gary E. Allen, age 86 of Oakwood, IL, passed this life on January 31, 2022 and will join the love of his life, Shirley J. (Lanham) Allen whom he was married to for 40 years. Gary leaves behind his 3 children, Elaine Rietberg, Peggy (John) Grant, and Phillip (Lori) Allen. He also leaves behind his 2 siblings who are going to greatly miss him, Paul (Lela) Allen and Dianna Skibo. Also missing him is Pat Siebert, his lady friend in Florida and her children. He leaves behind his grandchildren whom he admired, Richard Rodgers, Amanda (Shawn) O’Herron, Dixie (Michael) Sandlin, Benny Allen, and Larry Allen and his great-grandchildren whom he adored, Memphis, Annabella, Ashlyn, Boston, and Adriana Rodgers, Jason and Katlin O’Herron, Dakota, Sebastian, Skylar, and Marshall Allen, and Mayson, Noah, and Eden Sandlin. Gary was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason and great-grandchildren, Dallas and Cheyenne Allen. Gary served in the United States Air Force from 1954-1960. Gary will be very missed by everyone who knew him. He was a sweetheart, a great dad, brother, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on February 7, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. (IN time) until service time at 1:00 p.m. (IN time) with Buzz Dorton officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery with full military honors. The family requests that you honor Gary by wearing whatever makes you comfortable.
