Dewey E. "Luke" Howard Jr.

Dewey E. “Luke” Howard, Jr, age 70 of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Luke was born in Williamsport, IN on March 22, 1951.  He was the son of Dewey E. Howard, Sr. and Ann (Roarks) Howard.  He was a lifelong residence of Williamsport, IN.  Luke attended Williamsport schools. He married June A. Boyatt on April 17, 1996 in Williamsport, IN and she survives. 

Luke sold cars at Howard Auto Sales and Birkey’s in Williamsport.  He also worked at the Briles and Holen gas station for 5 years.  He ran a trash route for 52 years.  Luke loved mowing his yard and taking golf cart rides with his granddaughter, Kinley.  He also loved to visit with his family and friends.

Mother, Ann Howard of Williamsport, IN;

Children, Jamie Howard of Attica, IN, Jeremy Howard and Jennifer Howard both of Williamsport, IN;

Siblings, Danny “Legg” Howard, and Cheryl Merriman (Don) both of Williamsport, IN and Leslie “Butch” Howard (Rhonda) of Frankfort, IN;

10 grandchildren, John Howard, Katurah Scott, Braden Howard, Brooke Howard, Connor Howard, Parker Wells, Logan Howard, Brody Howard, Riley Howard, and Kinley Cook;

2 great-grandchildren

Luke was preceded in death by his father, son, Jason Howard, brother, Dennis “Cutty” Howard, uncles, Steve Howard, Wayne Howard, and Jim Howard, and aunts, Mae Wilson and Kathleen Longest.

Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN on Saturday, October 30, 2021 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rob Dispennett officiating.
