With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Charles A. “Chick” Pearson, 83, of West Lebanon, who left us on June 24, 2025, in Lafayette, IN surrounded by his daughters. Charles was born on December 25, 1941, in Williamsport to Leland and Helen (Peterson) Pearson. Growing up in the West Lebanon area, he graduated from Seeger High School in 1960. Shortly after graduation, he married Patricia Fleenor and showed his dedication to his country by enlisting in the United States Coast Guard, where he served honorably for four years before being discharged in 1964.
Charles married Melody Ann Lake on April 8, 1977. They lived in Covington, IN for many years. Following the closure of the GM plant in Tilton, he transferred to Janesville, WI, and continued to work until he retired in 2006. They retired and moved to Lake Wales, FL where they resided for almost 19 years.
Charles was known for his passion for golf and his unwavering support of Big 10 Basketball, especially Indiana University.
He leaves behind a loving legacy through his children: Wanda Gayler, Dana (Rob) Craft, Natalia (Allen) Huff; and his cherished grandchildren: Megan (Alex) Jackson, Casey (Kelci) Craft, Jeremiah (Jessica) Gayler, Andrew (Riley) Huff, Nicole Huff, Jorden (Austin) Vizenor. He also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren and his dear siblings: Dennis (Bobbi) Pearson, Paula Rice, and Jeff Pearson. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Melody, his daughter Christina, his son Scott Pearson, his half-sister Ann Gunderson, and brother-in-law Carl Gunderson.
In lieu of flowers and plants, the family kindly requests memorial contributions be made to the Warren County Community Foundation or Seed Sowers of Warren County.
