Bobby E. Quisenberry, age 83 of Williamsport, IN, previously of Lake County, IN, passed away at 10:06 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at IU Bedford Hospital.
Bobby was born on June 16, 1938 in Olaton, KY. He was the son of Roy B. Quisenberry Sr. and Madeline (Wedding) Quisenberry. Bobby attended North Vernon High School. He married to his loving wife Norma Summers on July 18, 1959 and she survives. They were married for 62 years. Bobby was a longtime resident of Lake County, IN before retiring in Williamsport, IN in 1997.
Bobby worked for International Boilermaker’s Local 374 in Hobart, IN for 60 years. Bobby was an avid horseman, horse breeder, and horse trainer for over 60 years. He broke and trained barrel racing horses throughout the country. Two of his many accomplishments included making the Stallion Silver Fort an AQHA Champion in Halter and Pleasure in the late 60s and placing second at AQHA World Show in Louisville, KY riding a home-grown barrel racing mare, called Clover Bar Bobby. Bobby also dabbled in Quarter Horse racing in Illinois and Indiana. He won the Illinois Racing Futurity. He was well respected by his fellow horsemen all across the United States. Horses were Bob’s entire life for over 70 years.

Granddaughter, Samantha M. Kuiper (Justin Morehouse) of Mound City, KS;
Grandson, Cody Kuiper (Emily Grundy) of Williamsport, IN;
Great-grandchildren, McKenna Caldwell, Sadie Mae-Jean Miller, Lila Jo Kuiper, and Arlo Richard Kuiper;
Many nieces and nephews
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Roy & Madeline Quisenberry; brother, Roy B. Quisenberry Jr. and sisters, Hazel Joyce Quisenberry and Lorraine Hansen
Visitation will be on Friday, November 19, 2021 at the West Lebanon Christian Church, 201 S. Clinton, West Lebanon, IN 47991 from 11:00 a.m. EST until service time at 2:00 p.m. EST with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
