Beverly June Ottinger
August 21, 1928- January 24, 2026
Beverly June Ottinger, 97, went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2026, at Williamsport Nursing Home while surrounded by her family. Beverly was a woman whose warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love shaped generations.
Beverly was born at Home Hospital in Lafayette, IN on August 21, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and June (McKenzie) Hildenbrand.
Beverly married the late Eugene (Pete) Sells and then later married James E. Ottinger on July 10, 1960, at the Williamsport Christian Church in Williamsport, IN.
Beverly was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother who opened her heart to all and made everywhere feel like home. She had a well-rounded job history working as a nurse’s aide, silverer at the Radio Materials factory in Attica, Williamsport License Branch, deputy assessor for Warren County, and was a phenomenal homemaker. She loved her family deeply, especially her grandkids, they were the light of her life. Beverly was an avid reader, bird watcher, loved to cross stitch, collect nick knacks, shop online, listen to audiobooks, do puzzles, watch out the window, and enjoyed spoiling her grandkids. Her unique smile and laugh could light up any room she was in and left an impression on everyone who came in touch with her. She always had a good story or advice to give to others. One of the favorites being, “not to worry it doesn’t do any good.”
Beverly leaves behind a daughter, Cheryl Stiemert. (Greenwood, IN), a son Leonard (Carolyn) Sells, Attica, IN, and a daughter Christi Taylor, Oxford, IN; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren whom she loved with everything she had.
She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Sells, two sisters Patricia Hildenbrand and Kay Kaye (Hildenbrand), husband Eugene Sells, and husband James Ottinger.
Beverly leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her. Though we will miss her laughter, her wisdom, and her warm embrace, we take comfort in knowing her spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
Per Beverly’s wishes, there will be no services following cremation.
