Betty L. (Biggs) Benedict

Betty L. (Biggs) Benedict, age 90 of Ambia, IN, passed away at 6:12 a.m. on January 25, 2023 at Williamsport Nursing and Rehab.

Betty was born on April 15, 1932 in Williamsport, IN. She was the daughter of Robert L. and Irene (Wallace) Biggs. Betty was a graduate of Williamsport High School. She married Forrest W. Benedict on October 15, 1950 and he preceded her in death on October 26, 1997.

Betty worked as the deputy treasurer and deputy assessor at the county courthouse. She had previously worked at the county home.

Betty was a member of the Tab Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for several years. She enjoyed music, especially playing piano and orga.

Surviving are 1 daughter, Julia Ann Werdine Furtick (husband: Darren) of Huntsville, TX and 1 grandson, Thomas Andrew Werdine.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Joe Emerson Biggs.

There will be no services. Inurnment will be at Highland Cemetery.
