Anna Lou (Maynard) Manns

Anna Lou (Maynard) Manns, age 77 of Ambia, IN, passed away at 8:10 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Anna was born on December 11, 1942 in Harts, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Manley and Elsie (Black) Maynard. Anna attended Harts High School. She moved to Chicago in 1962 and later moved to Ambia 1992 where she has resided since. Anna married Arthur Yogi Manns on November 24, 1962 in Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death on December 1, 2006. Anna worked at Buns Packaging Service in Chicago. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Hoopeston, IL. Anna loved to cook, clean the house, and especially enjoyed having company. Surviving are, Children, Arthur Bryne of Whiting, IN and Delores Dawn Joseph (Darrin) of Portage, IN; Siblings, Manley Maynard Jr. (Alvetta), Billy Joe Maynard (Freddie), James E. Maynard (Lovadis), David Lee Maynard (Patricia), Shirley Manns, Edward Maynard (Glenna), Glenith Maynard; Sister-in-law, Lenora Maynard; 6 Grandchildren; 7 Great-grandchildren Anna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; brothers, Ezra D. Maynard, Owen Maynard, Calvin Maynard, Allen Maynard, and Dennis Maynard, sisters, Beatrice Marshall and Sara Lucas, sister-in-laws, Janice Maynard and Ruthie Mae Maynard; and brother-in-law, Ronald Manns. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be there on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with her brothers Billy Joe Maynard and Edward Maynard officiating. Interment will follow at Locust Grove Cemetery near Ambia, IN.
