Agnes (Short) Smith

Agnes (Short) Smith, age 88 of Williamsport, IN, passed away at 1:54 a.m. on November 27, 2020 at Williamsport Nursing & Rehabilitation. Agnes Smith was born on March 8, 1932. She was the daughter of Raymond and Maybelle (Houchens) Short. She was first married to Bob Vail with whom she had four children. Agnes later married Ward Graves and her last marriage was to Gurney Smith. All three preceded her in death. Surviving are, 3 children, Kathy Chowning of Danville, IL; Rick (Tina) Vail of Warner Robins, GA, and Mike (Toma) Vail of Covington, IN; 1 brother, Gene (Myrna) Short of Post Falls, ID; 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren Agnes was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; a son, Bryan Vail; and 2 brothers, Roger Short and Harold Short. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Boswell Cemetery with Rev. Charles B. Anderson.
