Elizabeth Charlene (Hood) Moore, age 79 of Fowler, IN, formerly of Williamsport, died at 2:38 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Green-Hill Manor in Fowler, IN. Elizabeth was born on March 23, 1931 in Mattoon, IL. She was the daughter of Homer and Wanda (Hoben) Hood. She was a 1949 graduate of Mattoon High School and a 1951 graduate of Utterback Business College. Elizabeth lived in Mattoon until 1976 when she moved to Williamsport. She resided there until moving to Pine Village in 2004. She married Richard David “Dave” Moore on September 11, 1958. He preceded her in death on October 29, 2001. Elizabeth worked at the Bank of Kodiak and later at the Community Hospital in Williamsport. She attended the Williamsport Christian Church. Elizabeth was a member of the Hospital Guild and enjoyed crocheting, reading and watching her grandchildren. She also enjoyed her husband’s flower garden. Surviving are, 3 daughters, Stacey Walker (husband: Tom) of Williamsport; Suzie Frisby (husband: Jack) of rural Williamsport; and Stephanie Boyle (husband: Kevin) of Bradenton, FL; 3 brothers, Charles H. Hood (wife: Martha), C. Duane Hood (wife: Patty), and J. Carlos Hood all of Mattoon, IL; 1 sister, Sue Swift of Charleston, IL; 5 grandchildren, Chris Moore-Walker (wife: Cassandra), Richard Walker, T.J. Walker, Nate Walker, and Marc Walker; 6 great-grandchildren; and extended family, Lora & Jim Davis, Shawn, Erica & Kayleigh Davis all of Pine Village. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, October 1, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until service time at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
