Steven W. Bonebrake

Steven W. “Steve” Bonebrake, age 65 of Lafayette, IN died at 3:00 am on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at his residence. He had been in failing health the past 2 years. Steve was born in Parris Island, South Carolina on August 8, 1944. He was the son of Richard W. and Frances Louise (Armstrong) Bonebrake. He was a 1962 graduate of Williamsport High School and later attended Manchester College. Steve served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era. He was a resident of Williamsport before moving to West Lafayette in 1986. On June 14, 1986 he married Dawn M. Boggs in Veedersburg, IN. She survives. Steve was a member of the Federated Church in West Lafayette. He was an avid reader, loved fishing, and animals. He was a Green Bay Packers fan. Surviving with his wife, Dawn, are, 1 son, Adam Bonebrake (wife: Stephanie) of Attica, IN; 1 brother, David L. Bonebrake (wife: Jill) of Greencastle, IN; and 2 grandchildren, Nathan A. Bonebrake and Madison N. Bonebrake. Steve was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Monday, December 21, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Services will be there in the chapel on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11:00 am with Rev. David C. Mills officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Humane Society.
