Fredrick Arthur Schuessler

Fredrick “Fred” Arthur Schuessler, age 56, died at 3:25 pm on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at his sister Carol’s residence in Joliet, IL after a long battle with cancer. Fred was born on November 30, 1952 in Chicago, IL. He was the son of Fredrick David and Jessie Mary (Folds) Schuessler. He was a 1971 graduate of Crete-Monee High School in Crete, IL. He lived in the South Chicago Area his whole life. Fred was a member of St. Mary’s in Park Forest, IL. He worked as a professional painter in the Chicago area. He also portrayed many characters for Chicago and area talk radio stations, an avid entertainer to all. He was a wonderful uncle to all of his nieces and nephews, the ultimate “Uncle Fred”. Surviving are, 4 sisters, Pat Schuessler (Arnetta Smith) of Williamsport, IN, Carol Lee of Joliet, IL, Susan Mangrum of Tinley Park, IL and Barb Mangrum of Tucson, AZ Special friend, Deb Deforrest of Ft. Lauderdale, FL Fred was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, David Lee Schuessler. Graveside services will be on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 2:00 pm ESTat the Coal Creek Cemetery, Covington, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
