Lois Jane (Gregory) Rothrock

Lois Jane (Gregory) Rothrock, age 82 of Williamsport, IN passed away at her residence surrounded by her loving family at 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Lois was born on April 16, 1934 in Indianapolis, IN. She was the daughter of Harold Robert Gregory and Helen Margaret (Fisher) Gregory Masters. She was a graduate of Howl High School. On October 14, 1956 she married Fredrick “Fred” “Chubs” Carl Rothrock in Indianapolis and they moved to Williamsport in 1958. Fred preceded her in death on August 29, 2013. Lois worked at Bradley Barbeque in Indianapolis. When Fred & Lois came to Williamsport they purchased Hersh Beetle’s Restaurant and operated it for one year. She then worked for the Williamsport Elementary School cafeteria where she was known as the milk lady and then worked at the Senior Center when it started at the Methodist Church and was still there when it moved to its current location. Lois also worked at the Warren County jail serving food. She was a member of the Williamsport United Methodist Church. She loved to crochet, knit, and go to festivals, flea markets and rummage sales. She liked to watch her TV programs and loved to be outside. Surviving are, 3 children, Linda Barnett (husband: David) of Monticello, IN, Tina Bratton of Danville, IL and Ricky Rothrock (wife: Betty) of Williamsport, IN; 9 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.  Lois was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Cindy Jo Rothrock, and 3 brothers, Robert “Bob” Gregory, Jack Gregory, and Ronnie Gregory. The family would like to take the time to thank Betty Rothrock and Sonja Lacy for their loving care of Lois. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Cathy McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
