Anna Louise "Annie" Blacketer

Anna Louise “Annie” Blacketer, 86, of Williamsport, IN, and formerly of West Lebanon, passed away Tuesday July 19, 2016 at St Vincent Hospital in Williamsport, Indiana. Annie was born February 11, 1930 in West Lebanon, IN, the daughter of Hershel and Golda (Long) Groff. She married Courtney “Coonie” Blacketer Jr. July 30, 1947 in Sterling, IN; he preceded her in death November 8, 2011. Surviving family include four children, Gary (wife, Diane) Blacketer, West Lebanon; Colleen (husband, Mark) Wright, State Line; Brian (wife, Annemarie) Blacketer, Georgetown, IL; Gloria McGowen, Williamsport; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Blacketer, Michael Blacketer, Matt Sims (wife, Stacey), Courtney Blacketer (Jessica Durako), Seth Blacketer (Michelle Waddell), Ethan Blacketer, Anna McGowen, Cameron McGowen; six step-grandchildren, Dustin Wright (wife, Nancy), Alicia Avalos (husband, Phil), Diane Gray (husband, John), Katie Young, Laci Ransom, Brooke Ransom; and seventeen great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by three brothers, Lyle Groff, Lowell Groff, Charles Groff; a sister, Eileen Lape; and three infant siblings. Annie was a member of the Trinity Presbyterian Church in West Lebanon. The two most important aspects of her life were church and family. She was very involved at church with the ladies activities, and enjoyed helping with the church meals. She enjoyed cooking and canning throughout her life. More than anything she loved and enjoyed her family, and her grand-dog Colbie. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday July 23, 2016 at West Lebanon Trinity Presbyterian Church, with Pastor David Lawrence officiating. Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 PM Friday July 22,2016 at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Trinity Presbyterian Church or MAC Van.
