Donald L. Richardson

Donald L. Richardson, age 74 of Williamsport, IN died at 6:54 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Donald was born on March 27, 1942 in Clinton, IN. He was the son of George E. and Dorothy M. (Thomas) Richardson. He attended Clinton High School. He married Sallie Eileen Myers on December 28, 1963 in Clinton, IN. She preceded him in death on January 23, 2004. On September 14, 2009 he married Cynthia L. Young in Williamsport and she survives. Donald worked at Harrison Steel Casting Company for 42 years retiring in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and cabinet making. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. Surviving with his wife, Cynthia, are, 2 children, Dean Allen Richardson (Stacie) of Longview, WA and Rebecca Freed (Douglas) of Loda, IL; 1 sister, Karen Richardson Patrick (Timothy) of Rosedale, IN; and 7 grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sallie Richardson, siblings, Robert L. Richardson, Betty L. Wimsett, and Everett Richardson, and best friend, Charles Maesch. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport, IN. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
