William "Bill" Alan Wilson

William Alan “Bill” Wilson, age 63 of Williamsport, IN died at 11:15 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born on February 27, 1953 in Normal, IL. He was the son of John C. and Mary Lou (Jones) Wilson. He attended Normal Community High School. He married Annette Kay Smith on October 27, 1984 in Carlock, IL and she survives. They resided in the Normal and Bloomington, IL area before moving to Williamsport in 1988. He worked for the Warren County Highway Department retiring in 2010. Bill served in the US Army. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and archery. He was a member of the Sportsman Club and liked to go target and clay pigeon shooting. He had built several race engines for Henry Speedway and had worked on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway track. He was a motorcycle enthusiast. Surviving with his wife, Annette, are 6 children, Paul Wilson (Kim) of Williamsport, IN, Tina Jones (Jeff) of Bloomington, IL, Terry Denton (Sarah) of Bloomington, IL, Tammi Wilson of Chicago, IL, Pam Johnson (Josh Groego) of Bloomington, IL, and Beth Ann Wilson of Williamsport, IN; brother, Dale Wilson (Debbie) of Farmington, NM; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. The family will receive friends at the American Legion Post 52, 122 W. Mill Street, Attica, IN 47918 on Sunday, May 29, 2016 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m.
