Anna "Flo" Flora (Helton) Barnett

Anna Flora “Flo” (Helton) Barnett, of Williamsport, IN passed away at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her family. Flo was born in Ridgeway, KY. Flo was a high school graduate of Evarts High School in KY and attended Barberville Community College in KY and the University of Tennessee where she earned her certification in childcare development. She married Barlow Barnett in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2004 after 56 years of marriage. She worked for DCCP for 18 years in childcare development and then later worked in an administrative aspect for them. Flo was of Christian faith and loved old movies, reading, traveling and dancing. She loved to go shopping and lunching with her daughters and friends. Surviving are, 4 children, Donnie Barnett of Lafayette, IN, Ronald Barnett of Williamsport, IN, Sherry Garlin (Randy) of Attica, IN and Kay Barnett of Williamsport, IN; 2 grandchildren, Ryan Garlin and Heather Barnett Austin; and 2 great-grandchildren, Josie Austin & River Garlin. Flo was preceded in death by her husband, Barlow, and a brother, Albert Willis Helton. Private services will be held at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport, IN with interment at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
