Kenneth "Ken" Lee Shaffer

Kenneth Lee Shaffer of Ocala, FL, formerly of Griffith, IN, age 61, died on March 4, 2016. He was born in Gary, IN on May 30, 1954. He was the son of Russell and Dolores (Snyder) Shaffer. He married Nita Shoaf and she survives. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and 2 grandchildren, Bradley and Breanna Rector. Other family surviving are 4 children, Darrell Shaffer (Brandi) of IN; and Amy Rector, Kevin Shaffer and Stacy Mecey (John) all of MO; 1 step-son, Michael Oliver (Rachel) of IN; 2 sisters, Debbie Pollack of WI and Lori Huynh-Porter (Tom) of IN; 1 brother, Allen Shaffer (fiancé: Katrina) of IN; 7 grandchildren; uncle, Eddie Shaffer of TN; several nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Debbie Lacko (Ray) and Marsha Kras both of IN. Ken will be missed also by his Good friends in FL and all of his Racing buddies. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. EST until service time at 11:00 a.m. EST with Rev. Charles B. Anderson officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport. In lieu of flowers the family would like everyone to go out and do something fun in Ken’s memory.
