Betty L. (Beavers) Land

Betty L. (Beavers) Land, age 79 of Attica, IN died at 2:10 am on Friday, April 24, 2009 at The Waters of Williamsport. Betty was born on January 24, 1930 in Attica, IN. She was the daughter of Burl Jesse and Mary Martha (Baldwin) Beavers. She lived in Attica all of her life and attended Attica schools. She married Joseph D. Land on December 6, 1945. He survives. Betty was a homemaker. She was a member of the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed puzzle books, taking care of her indoor plants and crocheting afghans. Surviving with her husband, Joseph, are, 2 daughters, Betty Jo Poppino (husband: John) of Indianapolis and Cathy J. Shamp of TN; 2 sons, Daniel D. Land (wife: Betsy) of Attica, IN and Ronald E. Land of Monticello, IN; 1 brother, Burl Beavers, Jr.; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home on Monday, April 27, 2009 from 1:00 pm EDT until service time at 2:00 pm EDT. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Attica. Memorial contributions may be made to the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene.
