Everett J. Haas, Sr.

Everett J. Haas, Sr., age 69 of Attica, IN died at 1:45 am CDT on April 14, 2009 at his residence. Everett was born on January 29, 1940 in Attica, IN. He was the son of Alva Lewis and Mary (Slinker) Haas. He attended Attica High School and was a Fountain County resident most of his life. On January 25, 1965 he married Sharon Cheesman in Williamsport, IN. They later divorced. Everett served in the Army. He was self-employed as a wholesaler. He enjoyed playing poker and golf. Surviving are, 3 children, Sheryl Lynn Shields of Muncie, IN; Everett Haas, Jr. of Potomac, and Michael S. Haas (wife: Rainah) of Armstrong, IL 9 brothers and sisters, Mary Lou Hulsey of Attica; Joe Lee Haas (wife: Faye) of Elkhart, IN; Maxine Warrick (husband: Bill) of Attica; Janice Ferguson of Attica; Raymond Haas of Elkhart; Carrie Ferguson (husband: Floyd) of Attica; Frank Haas of Attica; Clint Haas (wife: Donna) of Elkhart; and Alva Lewis Haas, Jr. (wife: Cindy) of Lafayette, IN 8 grandchildren Everett was preceded in death by his parents. Per Everett’s wishes cremation will take place with a private memorial service to be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Riverside Cemetery.
