Porter E. Jordan

Porter E. Jordan, age 93 of rural West Lebanon, IN passed away peacefully at his son, Don's, home surrounded by his family on Monday, November 9, 2015. Porter was born in Kent Township, IN on November 1, 1922. He was the son of John “J.V.” and Mabel (Allen) Jordan. He attended West Lebanon schools and was a Warren County resident all of his life. On June 13, 1942 he married Mary Alice Kiser in St. Louis, MO and she preceded him in death on July 24, 2003. Porter served in the Army Air Corp during WW II. He was a farmer all of his life and also drove a school bus for 20 years for MSD of Warren County. He attended the Hedrick Assembly of God. He and his wife, Mary, wintered in Fort Myers, FL for 25 years. He loved to go to auction sales and enjoyed fishing in Canada. Surviving are, children, Alice of rural Williamsport, IN, Bob (wife: Sue) of rural Williamsport, IN, Don (wife: Jill) of rural West Lebanon, IN, and Rick (wife: Lou Ann) of rural Williamsport, IN; siblings, LaVone Garrison of rural Williamsport, IN and Marlene Wesley (husband: Richard) of Williamsport, IN; 11 grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren. Porter was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother, Max Donald Jordan, son-in-law, Joel Hutson, 2 grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Friday, November 13, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until noon with funeral service at noon with Rev. John Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery.
