Betty (James) Krichbaum

Elizabeth “Betty” (James) Krichbaum, age 72 of Rainsville, IN, died at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at her son’s home in West Lafayette, IN. Betty was born on February 12, 1943 in Lafayette, IN. She was the daughter of Morris and Madeline (Rowland) James. Betty attended Rainsville school. She was raised in Rainsville and lived in Pine Village before moving back to the Rainsville area where she resided for over 40 years. She lived the past 10 years in Williamsport, IN. On April 16, 1965 she married John Marion Krichbaum in Boswell, IN. He preceded her in death on August 19, 1998. Betty was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a caregiver for her family as they were going through their trials. Surviving are, 1 son, Michael E. Krichbaum (Julie) of West Lafayette, IN; 3 grandchildren, Nathaniel Krichbaum, Kelsi Krichbaum and Logan Krichbaum; siblings, Raymond James (Terri) and Wayne James (Martha), both of Rainsville, IN and Linda Simmons (David) of Crawfordsville, IN; special nieces, Kathy Dreher, Barbie DuBois, Lori Smith, and Diane Gregory; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings, Gene James, Virgil James, Carol Abraham, Sharon Foster and Debbie Cooksey Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, September 19, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services will be there in the chapel on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor John Adams officiating. Interment will follow at Rainsville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
