Robert "Bob" N. Meyer

Robert “Bob” N. Meyer, age 68 of Attica, IN went to be with the Lord at 6:14 a.m. on Friday, March 13, 2015 at his residence after a lengthy battle with cancer. Bob was born on May 1, 1946 in Lafayette, IN. He was the son of Joseph and Dorothy (Brown) Meyer. He lived in Lafayette as a child and graduated from Lafayette Jeff High School in 1965. He then moved to Florida, California and was in Texas, North Carolina and Taiwan while he served in the Air Force. He moved to Libertyville, IL and back to the Lafayette area before settling in Attica, IN the past few years. Bob married Brenda Whitkanack on July 2, 1993 and she survives. Bob served as an aircraft mechanic for the Air Force from 1965-1969. He owned and operated Classic H & G Air with his brother, Gil, until May 17, 1997. Bob was an active member of the Bethel Community Church. He then worked for Arnett IU retiring in 2012. He enjoyed Nascar and loved being outside. He loved repairing and tinkering with things. Surviving with his wife, Brenda, are, 1 son, Jesse Joseph Meyer, LCpl US Marines; and 1 sister, Linda Nagle (Denny) of Sorrento, FL. Bob was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Gilbert “Gil” and Ronald “Ronnie” Meyer, and parents. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Services will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Harold Holt officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethel Community Church or American Cancer Society.
