April E. Ping, age 68 of Danville, IL died on October 24, 2014 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL. April was born on April 26, 1946 in Johnsonville, IN. She was the daughter of John and Eva (Williams) Ping. She was a 1964 graduate of Danville High School and lived in Danville most of her life. April is survived by 8 siblings, Faye Huppert of Danville, VA, Eleanor Jean Bell of Danville, IL, Eva J. Haskins of Savoy, IL, Eldora Allen of Taylor, MI, Elneda June Niccum of Covington, IN, Tom Ping of OH, Ernest Lee Ping of Danville, IL and Kay Chase of OH. She is also survived by the family of Joe and Wes Hayes family of Danville, IL. April was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, James Edward and 1 sister, Edna. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. EST until service time at 2:00 p.m. EST with Pastor Doug Knapp officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
