Kenneth G. Evans, age 80 of rural Williamsport, IN, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family at 2:33 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at his residence. Kenneth was born in Marshfield, IN on November 28, 1933. He was the son of John M. and Dorothy (Woodrum) Evans. He was raised in Alvin, IL and graduated from Rossville High School in 1951. He was a lifetime farmer living on his farm near Hedrick, IN since 1961. He married Mary Ann George on October 7, 1956 in Alvin, IL and she survives. Kenneth served in the US Army where he was stationed in Richland, WA. He was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church and had previously attended Alvin Christian Church for many years where he served as superintendent and deacon. He was a member of the I & I Antique Tractor Club and was a current member of the Illiana Steam and Power Association where he loved taking his tractors and spending time with his wonderful friends. He never met a stranger and enjoyed eating breakfast at restaurants with his friends. He loved his grandchildren and one of his greatest joys was seeing Hadley take her first steps. Surviving are, 1 son, Michael G. Evans (wife: Lisa (Lear)) of Williamsport, IN 1 son-in-law, Gregg R. Fischer, rural Attica, who is like their own son 1 sister-in-law, Irene Evans of Bismarck, IL 1 sister, Betty Siddens (Donald) of Alvin, IL 5 grandchildren, Lynn M. Fischer (boyfriend: Jason Shrock), Kurt R. Fischer (wife: Mindi), Jeff M. Fischer (wife: Allison), Kimberly N. Houser (husband: Adam), and Kaitlyn I. Evans 3 great-grandchildren, Haidyn Mae Houser, Hadley Grace Houser, and Elsie Ann Fischer Several nieces and nephews Favorite dog, Charlie Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Susan A. Fischer, and brother, Raymond Evans. Visitation will be at the West Lebanon Christian Church on Sunday, October 26, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be there on Monday, October 27, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Minister Bruce Thornsbrough officiating. Interment will follow at West Lebanon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the West Lebanon Christian Church or the Warren County Community Foundation Kenneth & Mary Ann Evans Seeger FFA Agricultural Scholarship Fund.
