James "Jim" Craig Hubner, Sr.

James Craig Hubner, Sr. age 70 of Carmel, IN formerly of rural West Lebanon, IN passed away August 17, 2014. Jim was born on July 14, 1944 in Monroe, WI. He was the son of Robert L. and Flora May (Andrews) Hubner. He married Jane E. Chavers. She survives. Jim was a partner in a construction company with his brother, Bob Hubner, that built seed corn condition plants and seed corn dryers from the mid 60’s until the early 70’s. He then worked for Missouri Hybrid Corn Company and later was the Field Production Manager for Pfizer Genetics in Mason City, IL. From the mid 70’s until his retirement in 2007 he was a partner for Hubner Seed Company, Hubner Industries, LLC and Hubner Farmers where he served as the production manager for Hubner Industries and the general manager for Hubner Farms. Jim was a member of the West Lebanon Christian Church. He was an avid boating enthusiast and enjoyed sports cars. Surviving with his wife, Jane, are Mother, Flora May Hubner of Danville, IL 1 son, James “Craig” Hubner, Jr. (Robin) of West Lebanon, IN 1 daughter, Susan Ankeny Jacobsen (Karl) of Murphy, NC 1 brother, Robert L. Hubner (Pat) of rural West Lebanon, IN 2 sisters, Karen Miller (Michael) of Kansas City, MO and Luann Fowler (Gene) of State Line City, IN 3 grandchildren, Brendon Jacobsen, Zoey Jacobsen, and Michayla Hubner Visitation will be at West Lebanon Christian Church on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Rod Andrews officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery.
