Frances Jean (Tate) Johnson

Frances Jean (Tate) Johnson, age 79 of Terre Haute, IN, formerly of Warren County, died at 4:30 p.m. EDT on Monday, August 4, 2008 at IU Medical Center in Indianapolis. Frances was born on August 11, 1928 in Williamsport, IN to Howard K. and Frances G. (Odle) Tate. On August 16, 1946 she married Lawrence A. Johnson. He preceded her in death on April 8, 2002. Surviving are, 2 sons, Jerry L. Johnson (wife: Sue) of rural Williamsport and Michael A. Johnson of Indianapolis, IN; 3 grandchildren, Brian Johnson of Danville, IL, Kristin Miller (husband: Donnie) of Lafayette, IN, and Audrey Johnson of Plainville, IN; 1 sister, Shirley Daniels of Watseka, IL; and 1 brother, Howard K. Tate of Lakeport, CA. Frances was preceded in death by 1 brother, Vernon Tate, and 2 sisters, Margaret Wurtsbaugh and Maxine Smith. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport at a later date with private family services.
