Elsie Mae (White) Fields, age 66 of West Lebanon, died at her residence at 8:40 A.M. on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Elsie was born in Rosedale, Virginia on November 7, 1941. She was the daughter of Thomas Edwin & Leanna (Tuggle) White. She attended Elk Garden School in Virginia. She had been a resident of Warren and Fountain Counties since 1960. Elsie married Cecil Dean Fields on February 21, 1959 in Lebanon, VA. He survives. Elsie was a homemaker. She loved camping, fishing, canning, flowers and hummingbirds. She loved playing cards, euchre, and the game of Yahtzee. Surviving with her husband, Cecil, are 2 sons, David Fields (wife: Sherry) of Brazil, IN and Richard Fields of West Lebanon; daughter, Kathy Fields (Marty Harp) of West Lebanon; 3 brothers, James “Shot” White of Attica, Robert White (wife: Ann) of Williamsport and Roger White (Sandy) of Boswell, IN; 2 sisters, Elizabeth Warner (husband: Dean) of Virginia and Ruth Woods (Don) of Attica, IN 5 grandchildren, Justin Inman, Nathan Fields, Amanda Fields, Mallory Fields, and Abby Fields 2 great-grandchildren, Haley Parrish and Keisha Inman. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Edward “Eddie” Dean Fields, and brother, Thomas White. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24, 2008 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. EDT at Grady Funeral Home in West Lebanon. Services will be there in the chapel on Friday, July 25, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. EDT with Rev. Don Williams officiating. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Attica, IN. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
