Ethel I. (Weger) Cooper

Ethel I. (Weger) Cooper, age 75 of Williamsport, IN died at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at her residence. Ethel was born on June 24, 1938 in Terre Haute, IN. She was the daughter of George Kenneth and Grace (Buchanan) Weger. She graduated from Concannon High School where she played on the girls basketball team. She married George Richard Cooper, Sr. on February 18, 1955 in Terre Haute, IN. He preceded her in death on January 26, 2004. Ethel attended The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Williamsport. She worked for RMC in Attica and Myers Steel in Attica retiring in 1985. She loved to go fishing and bowling. She was a die hard Cubs fan and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Surviving are, 6 sons, Ricky Cooper of Attica, IN; Butch Cooper of Attica, IN; Earl Cooper (wife: Christie) of Williamsport, IN; Jeff Cooper (wife: Kyla) of Attica, IN; Tony Cooper (girlfriend: Melanie) of Attica, IN; Ted Cooper (wife: Lori) of Salem, IN 1 daughter, Elizabeth Rodgers (husband: Charlie) of West Terre Haute, IN Siblings, Virginia Weger of West Terre Haute, IN, Nancy Weger of Terre Haute, IN, Bea Taylor of Terre Haute, IN, Chuck Weger of Terre Haute, IN, Steve Weger of West Terre Haute, IN and Susie Weger of Terre Haute, IN 21 grandchildren 20 great-grandchildren 4 great-great-grandchildren Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, son, George Cooper, Jr., brothers, Kenneth Harold Weger, Donald L. Weger, Robert Eugene Weger and David Edward Weger, and sister, Margaret Ann Cooper Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home, in Williamsport on Thursday, January 2, 2014 from noon until service time at 2:00 p.m. with Elder Richard Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport, IN. .
