James E. Smith, age 81 of Indianapolis, IN died at 9:12 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Altenheim Health and Living Community in Indianapolis. James was born on August 7, 1931 in Detroit, MI. He was the son of Fred and Edith (Flanders) Osborn. He attended Attica High School. He married Shirley Robinson and she preceded him in death. James served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed and retired from a chemical company in Indianapolis. He enjoyed traveling and playing bingo, and loved sports. He was an avid Cubs fan. Surviving are, 1 sister, Phyllis Booe of Pekin, IL Several nieces and nephews Stepson with whom he had resided, Mike Robinson (wife: Mary) of Indianapolis, IN Step-grandchildren, Shelby and Maddy Robinson Private funeral services will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport with interment at Riverside Cemetery in Attica, IN.
