Ronald F. Taylor

Ronald F. “Ron” Taylor age 71 of West Lebanon, recent resident of Frankfort, IN, died at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at Parkview Home in Frankfort, IN. Ron was born on February 26, 1941 in Williamsport, IN. He was the son of Lonnie A. and Dorothy L. (Frazier) Taylor. Ron was a 1959 graduate of West Lebanon High School where he was a talented basketball player and graduated as salutatorian of his class. He later attended Olivet Nazarene University in Kankakee, IL, Indiana University and Indiana State University. He graduated from Barber School in the 1970’s. Ron served in the Indiana Air National Guard with an honorable discharge in July 1966. He was a member of the West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. Surviving are, 3 sisters, Shirley Dowling (husband: Ed) of Hoopeston, IL, Sharon Yoder (husband: the late Ron Yoder) of LaGrange, IN, and Kathy Martin (husband: Lloyd) of Wingate, IN; 1 brother-in-law, Richard Mikels (wife: Connie) of Covington, IN; and 12 nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, infant Marilyn Kay Taylor, Beverly Jo Taylor, and Nancy Mikels, and 1 niece Amy Dowling. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 from 1:00 until service time at 2:00 p.m. with nephew, Minister Casey Hancock officiating. Interment will be at Boswell Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to West Lebanon Church of the Nazarene.
