Deborah J. (Hughes) Myers, age 47 of Williamsport, died at 9:00 A.M. EST on Friday, January 11, 2008 at the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital after fighting a year long battle with cancer. Deborah was born on August 15, 1960 in Danville, IL. She was the daughter of Dean Hughes and the late Lanean (Renville) Hughes. She was a lifelong resident of Warren County and a 1978 graduate of Seeger High School. On July 15, 1978 she married Dennie Myers in Williamsport. He survives. Deborah was a very loyal and active member of the Tab Church of Christ. She found working at the Warren County Community Foundation and helping on the Women Legacy Builders Committee. She enjoyed working on the family farm, but she loved running the combine during harvest. Her true passion was spending time with her husband, children, and grandson. Her favorite times with her family were vacations and, of course, Sunday lunch. Surviving with her husband, Dennie, are, father, Dean Hughes of Attica, IN; 1 daughter, Jessica Peterson (husband: Kevin) of Williamsport; 2 sons, Corey Myers (wife: Kayla) of Williamsport and Brock Myers, still at home; 1 grandson, Kaiden Peterson of Williamsport; 2 brothers, Dean Hughes (wife: Jackie) and Bob Hughes (wife: Tracy) both of Houston, Texas; 2 sisters, Bec Cappello (husband: Jeff) of Morton, IL and Courtney Hughes of Indianapolis; 1 aunt, Connie Sorenson of FL; several nieces and nephews; and father-in-law, Everett Myers of Williamsport. Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, and mother-in-law, Glowdine Myers. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Sunday, January 13, 2008 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. EST. Services will be there in the chapel on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. EST with Pastor Rod Andrews officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be to the Tab Church of Christ Loyal Matrons or the Warren County Community Foundation, Women Legacy Builders Fund.
