Richard D. Brown

Richard D. Brown, age 53 of Williamsport, died at 2:37 A.M. Monday, December 3, 2007 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. Richard was born on February 13, 1954 in Lafayette, IN. He was the son of Everett and Zelma (Caudill) Brown. He attended Williamsport Schools. Richard was a life long resident of Warren County. On July 14, 1972 he married Linda “Susie” Pennell in West Terre Haute. She survives. Richard was a foreman and worked as a melder in the furnace department for 35 years at Harrison Steel Casting Co. in Attica, IN. He was an avid Nascar fan and his favorite driver was Richard Petty. He was an Indianapolis Colts fan and a Mopar and Dodge man. He loved his family. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandson David and granddaughter Shyann. He loved working on his vehicles and restoring “Old Blue”. He also loved spending time in his garage and shed. Surviving with his wife, Linda Brown, are, 2 daughters, Dawn Brown and Heather S. Brown both of Williamsport; 2 brothers, George Brown (wife: Chris) of Okeechobee, FL and Tyrone Brown (wife: Connie) of Williamsport;1 sister, Rebecca Lacy (husband: Bobby) of Attica; and 2 grandchildren, David Dean Hanover and Shyann Sue Hanover of Williamsport. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Sheila Roysdon, 2 brothers, Timothy Brown and Jerry Brown. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 11:00 A.M. EST until service time of 2:00 P.M. EST. Officiating will be Rev. John T. Adams. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
