Mary A. (Garriott) McIntosh, age 94 of Williamsport, died at 12:15 A.M. EDT on Sunday, August 19, 2007 at Woodland Manor Nursing Home in Attica, IN where she resided the past 6 weeks. Mary was born near Rensselaer, IN on May 20, 1913. She was the daughter of Roscoe and Nancy (Hopkins) Garriott. She attended Benton County School System. Mary had been a Warren County resident since 1931. On February 3, 1932 in Danville, IL she married Estel D. “Red” McIntosh. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2001. Mary worked as a cook in the Warren County School System where she enjoyed the children. She was also a housewife. Mary was the longest living member of the Judyville United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the OES Chapter #162 West Lebanon where she was past worthy matron. Mary was a member of the Warren County Garden Club and American War Mothers. She was the best pie baker and enjoyed cooking and catching crappies. Her greatest love was her family. Surviving are, 2 sons, James M. McIntosh (wife: Ann) of Williamsport, IN and William Ray McIntosh of Paris, MO; 1 daughter, Norma Crane (husband: Ron) of Williamsport, IN; 1 sister, Laverne Fix (husband: Fay) of Williamsport, IN; 2 brothers, Jim Garriott (wife: Margaret) of Williamsport, IN and Bill Garriott (wife: Ida) of Fowler, IN; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Richard McIntosh, 2 brothers, Harold Garriott and Bob Garriott, 4 sisters, Clarice Bierley, May Burman, Merle Burman and Helen Cripe, and great-granddaughter, Valerie McIntosh. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Tuesday, August 21, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. EDT. Services will be there in the chapel on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. EDT with Pastor Cathy McCoy and Rev. George P. Weister officiating. Interment will be at West Lebanon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Valerie McIntosh Fund at the Warren County Community Foundation, 31 N Monroe St., Williamsport, IN 47993 or Serenity Hospice, 103 S Grant Ave. Fowler, IN 47944.
