Fausttanna J. (Brinson) Jones

Fausttanna J. (Brinson) Jones, age 91 of Bloomington, formerly of Pine Village, passed away at 1:06 a.m. at her home on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Fausttanna was born in Linton, IN on February 6, 1920. She was the daughter of Rollie and Edna (Johnson) Brinson. She was raised in Vicksburg, IN and lived in Pine Village from 1943-1994 when she moved to Bloomington. She graduated high school in Vicksburg. On November 28, 1946 she married James Curtis “Casey” Jones in South Bend, IN. He preceded her in death on September 25, 1984. Fausttanna taught Home Economics at Pine Village High School for many years and retired from Williamsport High School. She was a member of Pine Village Christian Church and the Indiana Teachers Association. She was an excellent seamstress, avid reader and enjoyed writing letters to her family. She was a member of the Warren County Literary Club and loved politics and watching sports. Surviving are, 1 daughter, Karene J. Kidwell (husband: Harry) of Bloomington; 1 brother, Marvin Brinson (wife: Reah Dawn) of Bloomington; 1 sister, Gracie Rice (husband: Roscoe) of Bloomington; 2 granddaughters, Susan Warmbier and Lesli Henderson-Miller (husband: Robin) both of Bloomington; 2 great-grandsons, Casey Vincent of Bloomington and Bray Henderson, stationed in North Carolina; and 1 great-great-granddaughter, Taylor Vincent of Bloomington Fausttanna was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Arnim Brinson, and sister, Jean Hummel. Graveside services will be held at Mound Cemetery in Pine Village on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Stamm officiating. Memorial donations may be made to donor’s choice for Breast Cancer Awareness.
