Robert Eugene Jones

Pine Village – Robert Eugene Jones age 82 formerly of Pine Village, died June 15, 2011 following a short illness in the Hospice House in Spring Hill, FL. He was born in Rossville , IL on August 26, 1928 the son of the late Morris F. and Vivian R. Hall Jones. On October 15, 1950 he was married to Norma Jean Logsdon and she preceded him in death on October 13, 2005. He was a graduate of Potomac High School. Bob and his wife farmed in the Pine Village area until retiring in 1987, he then worked as a self-employed carpenter for a few years. They retired to Brooksville, FL 25 years ago. Bob and his wife were avid Ballroom dancers and had traveled to dance competitions around the world. Bob also had been a dance instructor. Surviving are two sons: Mark (companion Jill) Jones of Williamsport and Jeff (wife Cathy) Jones of Pine Village. Six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters: Adeline Weston, Williamsport, Emma Leak, Hoopeston and two brothers: Charles R. (wife Phyllis) Jones of Kingman and Edward M. (wife Phyllis) Jones of Hoopeston. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Friends may gather at Grady Funeral Home on Saturday, July 2, 2011 from 11:00 am – 12:00. Memorial service will be held at 12:00 with Pastor Clint Fix officiating. Private family inurnment at Pine Village Cemetery.
